Identifying Bed Bugs

If you have noticed what you think might be bed bugs, below is information to help determine if in fact you do have a bed bug issue.

Hidden in crevices during the day, bed bugs typically emerge at night, just before sunrise, to feed on human blood. Bed bugs don’t have to be located in beds. They can travel up to 100 feet for their meal.

You may find bed bugs in beds and surrounding areas like headboards and night tables. Female bed bugs may lay 1-5 eggs daily. You will find eggs in clusters, stuck to a surface by a clear sticky substance in cracks and crevices. As they grow, they require blood feedings and will usually feed every 5 to 10 days.
Bed bugs are primarily attracted to:

• Body Warmth
• Carbon Dioxide from your breath
• Human beings and animals

Bed bugs can be identified by seeing the bug itself, seeing eggs, or blood spots and pepper like fecal matter on bed sheets. We know you are anxious to get rid of these bugs if you have seen signs of their presence in your home. Contact Manchester Pest Control for prompt removal services.
